Kyrylo was born in the 29th week of pregnancy. For ten days, doctors fought for the baby's life: he had intraventricular hemorrhage and intrauterine pneumonia. The mother and the newborn baby were in intensive care for three weeks, after which they were transferred to Kiev in "OKHMATDYT", where they continued to treat Kyrylo. The boy got home for the first time when he was two months old. Almost immediately after birth, doctors suggested that the child might have cerebral palsy. Unfortunately, the baby's diagnosis was later confirmed, so they continued to treat Kyrylo.

In Chernigiv, Kyrylo's mother found an exercise therapy instructor who, in the intervals between rehabilitation courses, deals with the child every day. Thanks to daily and painstaking work, the boy's left hand, which used to be just bent, has become more active, Kyrylo freely turns from side to side and crawls. In addition to exercise therapy, a neuropsychologist and speech therapist is involved with the child. Thanks to this, Kyrylo began to speak a few words. He can sit with support and stand on his legs, tries to eat himself with a spoon, draw and write. At first glance, this is not much, but after so many years of daily struggle, these are very good results.

"We do not fold our hands and continue to fight for our son. We believe that he will grow up to be a full-fledged healthy person. But treatment and rehabilitation are so expensive that we cannot pay for them on our own, so we have to ask for help. The next course of rehabilitation costs 14 850 hryvnia.
