Help me walk on my own two feet

The Marchenko family has 3 children, the youngest of whom, Mark, has a severe disability. The boy has cerebral palsy and needs help with rehabilitation. The cost of therapy for this family is unaffordable – 65,200 UAH. Mark is a very diligent, cheerful, handsome boy, he is almost 4 years old, but the disease has taken away his full life, communication with children.

Mark was born at 35 weeks by cesarean section, spent 2 weeks in intensive care, and at the age of one and a half he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. The boy cannot walk, and every 2 months he undergoes rehabilitation in Kyiv at the Krok za Krokom center. Before the war, the parents provided for the child's treatment themselves, but now it is impossible, so they have to ask for help from caring people. The boy has recently completed the 10th course of rehabilitation, and Mark is now able to sit up, crawl on all fours, and jump on his knees. But, unfortunately, he cannot speak or walk on his own. However, in order for him to move better with support and independently, he needs constant procedures in a specialized center. He also needs classes with a speech therapist, a special course of massage and exercise therapy, and sessions with a psychologist, as Mark has a delay in psycho-speech development. Without the necessary rehabilitation course, spasticity will return to Makarchyk, so rehabilitation is a chance to be healthy and enjoy life.  

But the parents do not give up, do not give up. The most important thing is that they believe and repeat every day: "We will succeed," because cerebral palsy is not a sentence, parents will overcome everything and help their son walk on his own two feet. Even a small step is a big victory. We can all bring this victory closer together and see Makarchik's first steps.
