It is very difficult to breathe for Yaroslav. He can hardly sit. The heart is pinched and it's hard for him to beat. Yaroslav's spine is bent in the shape of the letter S, and this is very painful in itself. And if help doesn’t come, Yaroslav will soon die, and he will die very painfully. Yaroslav was born with slight changes in his spine. At that time doctors said that it was not dangerous and everything would improve with time. But, unfortunately, when the boy turned 11 the disease started to progress. In 2007 metal rods were applied to the boy’s spine, but in 2009 they were removed as they were not taken.

Now Yaroslav’s condition gets worse, vertebral arch compresses his heart and puts pressure on lungs, it is hard to breathe for him and he feels constant pain in his back. Yaroslav’s life hangs by a single thread without the application of new metal rods.

Yaroslav suffers from IV degree S-shaped thoracolumbar kyphoscoliosis of spine. Kyphoscoliosis is a dangerous disease not only because of its observed occurrence, this doesn’t threaten one’s life. It is extremely dangerous, because it affects internal organ. Spine arc compresses internal organs, they shift, function in a bad way and collapse as a result. Yaroslav’s heart and lungs are compressed, these organs do not get enough oxygen and this threatens his life.

This is why we do not see adult people having this kind of scoliosis outside. They die young.
It is a disease, which can be treated only by means of surgery, which requires application of metal rods. The boy can be operated on at the Center of Spine Pathology of Dr. A.N. Baklanov. The operation cost is 630 715 UAH. It's just an incredible amount of money for a rural family, whо raises two more small kids.

Yaroslav wants to meet new people and work, he dreams to start a family. But the disease makes him really depressed. Constant physical ache and heavy thoughts on his future exhaust him. “I can’t watch him suffering both in moral and physical way. The operation can change everything and give hope for recovery, for life without pain. Being a mother of my son I want him to be happy. This is why I beg for help of all caring and sincere people, all mothers holding their children, those, able to sympathize and support. If everyone does all possible – there will be nothing impossible. Please help us with all your heart, with all your caring soul and for the sake of a dream of a child even if he is not yours!”.
