Help Sofia open the door to a happy future

Tiny Sofia was born prematurely at 27 weeks of pregnancy weighing 1,300 grams, her lungs did not open immediately, so doctors gave her little hope. From the very first days, she fought for her life. Then came the family's shocking diagnosis of cerebral palsy. "Don't give up" was the family's motto.

Thanks to constant treatment, physical therapy and massages, as well as experienced rehabilitation therapists who help and give her faith, Sofia has learned a lot: to sit upright, partially dress herself, eat, and write. The girl has undergone two surgeries that improved her condition but did not give the desired result. Unfortunately, this disease requires constant treatment. Because of the pain in her muscles and tears, the girl practices at home every day, but this is not enough. Perseverance is the main feature of Sofia's character, she does not give up hope for her first independent steps.

Now 16 years old, Sonia is a very smart, inquisitive, cheerful girl who has always dreamed of going to school and having many friends, but because of her illness she is studying individually, and this makes her very upset. She really wants to communicate with her peers, to have a real girlfriend, to be able to take care of her coveted pet and go for walks with it... Sofia loves to read, do diamond mosaics and dreams of becoming a child psychologist. And to recover to take her first independent steps that will open the door to her happy future.

Sofia needs rehabilitation courses every 3-4 months. Unfortunately, Sonia's father died, and her mother is raising her daughter alone. It is very difficult for her to raise funds for rehabilitation, so she is begging for help. Thanks to rehabilitation, there are great chances for a full and happy life for Sofia, the opportunity to get a profession, be realized and help others.
