Help Vladislav live a healthier life!

We met Vladislav and his mother Yana a few months ago. There are a fragile, but strong-minded mother and her son: many difficulties and problems fell on their lives. They have serious health problems, but in spite of everything, they do not give up and move forward step by step. In childhood, doctors diagnosed Vladislav with cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia, partial atrophy of the optic nerves and a shortened left leg due to a skewed pelvis. Now Vladislav is 15 years old, and despite his young age, he underwent many operations in his life.

Vladislav was born at the 32nd week and immediately went to the intensive care unit for premature babies. During the first two weeks, he was connected to a ventilator and bravely fought for life. When Vladislav was one year old, his mother was diagnosed with a terrible disease – multiple sclerosis. Long-term treatment, constant examinations, and the purchase of medicines are an integral part of the life of the Koshelnik family. The boy's father could not stand the test and left the family when Vladislav was 6 years old.

Vladislav is interested in history, geography and politics, dreams of exploring the world and learning new cultures. Vladislav and his mother are very close. They are always together and trust each other with all their dreams and plans. But the life of families with children with cerebral palsy is filled with concerns about the child's health. Physical rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy is aimed at preventing muscle atrophy and weakening due to their non-use and to avoid contractures when tense muscles become inactive and are fixed in a pathological position. The main principle of such treatment is regularity. Only regular courses are beneficial. Everything is prosaic: the state does not allocate enough funds, and families are left alone with their serious problems.

Vladislav dreams of being healthy – to move more freely and without pain and to be like his peers. Therefore, we decided to support Vladislav and his mother and raise money for the boy's rehabilitation. Vladislav should also have a chance to live a healthier life!
