17 February 2017, we learned that the Ministry of Health paid for the surgery of bone marrow transplant for Matthew. The money we collected on UBB will be used for the postoperative treatment of the boy. More detailed information is available on the project blog. Pulling up his legs, the little boy is trying to close his ears to Muslim prayers in Istanbul heard everywhere, even in the hospital, where a Ukrainian boy receives treatment from blood cancer. Six-year Matviiko Skidan and his mother are at the hospital in Turkey since October.

Chained to the drip, every day the boy begs to take him home – to his dad and little brother. Matviik is afraid that Santa Claus will not find him in a foreign country. Matvii has the only one wish: "Santa Claus, I am in Turkey. Please bring me health, so I could quickly recover, come back home, walk, run, and jump ..."

The life of a little boy now is nothing but limits: he neither goes outside nor has fun with other children, and the only "entertainment" for him is walking down the hospital corridor in a wheelchair. A few months ago Matviiko was going to the seaside in Turkey, and then go to the first class. But instantly a cheerful boy has changed: frequent colds, loss of appetite and constant fatigue alerted parents. A usual blood test in June showed that platelets are ten times lower than they should be, and the biggest concern of doctors was confirmed - Oncology. And chemotherapy alone is powerless to fight the disease, the boy needs bone marrow transplants abroad.

"My blood is ill, it has a cold, perhaps. Now I need to replace it with sound" - that's all Matvilko knows about his illness. He already underwent the first chemotherapy, and soon Matvii will lose his hair. Motya worries about it, because he wants to "handsome." His parents fear even more: no time to collect the required amount of 130 thousand dollars to pay treatment at Turkish hospital "Memorial".

The clinic agreed to treat Matviiko in debt, but their condition is clear: the doctors will not conduct the transaction without full payment. Doctors have found two donors for Matvii. The important thing now, they say, do not waste time, because perhaps a few weeks remain.

The family has already sold two cars and land plot, and put their apartment on sale. They are willing to lose a roof over their heads if it helps to rescue Matviiko. Now the Skidan family has a debt of 40 thousand dollars, but they managed to find the majority of the amount in the clinic’s account. Only 20 thousand remains to collect, but the family can not cope by themselves: resources are exhausted and no much time left. And they believe that there are caring people who want to become Santa Claus for Matviiko.
