Help to save a leg
Ania loves talking so much! She longs for learning anything new. She dreams to become a doctor. She is afraid of nothing and never pities herself. Active dance classes since 6 years old, busy schedule, performances, winning top places. Who could think that bumping on the table corner would "trigger" tumor appearance and she would need to save her leg from cancer?
At the age of 12, she had to endure 14 chemotherapies and 3 surgeries at the Children's Department for just one year of treatment. The hardest part is over, but the number of surgeries is growing. By the age of 16, Ania suffered 7 surgeries and urgently needs one more to maintain the result effective. Crutches stop her from fulfilling a dream – to make a balanced step. If they fail to give her an endoprosthesis module now, her dream will never come true.
Ania learned to find joy in life – she won a gold medal in swimming and a bronze medal in table tennis at the 2014 Cancer Olympics in Poland, wrote a study in psychology, and is fond of "hand-made" crafts. Ania is a student of the 11th grade now and anxiously awaiting for her graduation prom. She really wants to look beautiful as her other classmates do. She really wants to wear a nice dress and high heels shoes; unfortunately, it is impossible at the moment.
