01.08.2013“Before the accident Bogdanchik was a healthy, active child. But when he was 1year and 3 months old, the misfortune happened – he fell into a deep hole with water. When the child was taken out, he did not breathe. But, the arrived “ambulance” managed to get his heart beating. On the way to the hospital, Bogdan had a repeated heart failure. The doctors’ conclusion: a clinical death for 12 minutes, the brain is dead, coma of the 3rd stage. They did not give a chance to live. But in the morning a miracle happened.

God had heard all the prayers, our son came round, answered the questions, he called grandmother as a “granny” and asked me for food. The doctors were in perplexity and the whole hospital was crying with joy, they had never had such a situation.

However, resuscitators did not give a chance for a full life. And again a miracle – our son was running in a week. But two weeks later, at home, Bogdan began getting ill – he had an intense vomiting, his head got bigger, his eyes began to squint. Our son fell into a coma. Doctors were forced to urgently seek the cause of this deterioration. CT scan of the brain showed a progressive hydrocephalus. Then an urgent and risky operation in the neurosurgery - and Bogdan said “mother” by the evening. But then the problems with coordination started - our son stopped walking and did not hold his head. As a result of the MRI of the brain - a new growth on the cerebellum was detected that arose in a week (!) Preparing for a major, difficult operation, doctors claimed that Bogdan would not survive, that there were no chances. I did not believe, and all the time I said that my son is strong and he would live, and the doctors were afraid that I was going mad. And Bogdanchik survived, after which he had to go through purulent meningitis, loss of vision, 8 operations and a few comas in three months. But as a result, we managed to save our son’s life. At the moment he can see, tries to sit, wants to walk, says “mom”, “granny”. He likes playing with cars and learns colors. I believe, that thanks to your help, my son will start walking soon.”

Now Bogdan has a long way to rehabilitation in the specialized centers. The next course of rehabilitation in the “Elita” clinic costs 10 850 UA. Mom is bringing up the child alone and cannot earn money even for the most necessary things because Bogdan needs a constant care. We can grant the gift of future to this cute, smart child, who has repeatedly proved that he loves life and is ready to fight for it.
