Help with the treatment of children with brain pathologies

In June 2024, a project under the charity programme ‘Help in the Treatment of Children with Brain Pathologies’ was placed on the platform of the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace (dobro.ua) - ‘Help in the Treatment of Children with Brain Pathologies’. The aim of the project was to raise funds for the purchase of a neuroendoscope for the St. Nicholas Hospital of the 1st Territorial Medical Association of Lviv.  This equipment is vital for the treatment of children with tumours, hydrocephalus, severe brain pathologies and traumatic brain injuries.

The initial cost of the neuroendoscope equipment according to the commercial offer of Timaz LLC (out. No. 280624/1 of 28.06.2024) was UAH 1,273,924.32. Due to the discount provided by the supplier for equipment components (according to the contract No. 051224/1 of 05.12.2024), the project cost was reduced to UAH 1,233,610.26.

The equipment was purchased from TIMAZ LLC under the Supply Agreement No. 12-2024/1 dated 17.12.2024.

Payment was made on 26.12.2024.

The equipment was handed over to the hospital on 28.01.2025, and put into operation on 03.02.2025.

A neuroendoscope is a high-tech instrument with a built-in high-definition camera and micro-instruments. It is inserted through a small hole in the skull, transmitting a 3D image of the brain to the screen. This allows doctors to work with maximum precision, avoiding unnecessary tissue damage.

Thanks to the purchased neuroendoscope, doctors can remove tumours and blood clots on the brain without opening the skull, restore cerebrospinal fluid circulation with minimal intervention, perform operations with minimal risks and faster recovery of children.
