"Road of kindness" - small wonders available to everyone

Annually in Ukraine nearly 5,000 babies are born with heart failure, which develops in the mother's womb simultaneously with the emergence of new life. And the situation of pediatric cardiology in our country is catastrophic - 51,67% of newborns (i.e. children within the first 28 days of life), which have a complex form of congenital heart defect, die. Even simple forms of congenital heart disease dies of 42.3% of children. At the same time, 30% of children are discharged from hospital without even the suspicion of a terrible diagnosis. Half of them dies. In Ukraine each year from cardiovascular disease kills more than 800 children.

The Institute of cardiovascular surgery them. Amosov is the place where children with congenital heart defects have a chance at salvation. According to statistics, every year in this health facility survey 10-12 thousand young patients from all corners of Ukraine. According to the survey results, 700-750 kids operate. However, unfortunately, the equipment is literally the key to the salvation, constantly wear out, and also due to critical under-funding to purchase expensive equipment institution isn't able.

To provide the hospital with modern medical equipment, on July 15, 2020 WOG company together with Ukrainian philanthropic marketplace, charity Fund "Your support" along with Masha Efrosinina announced the beginning of a new stage of the social project "the Road of good".
This year we set an ambitious goal - to collect 3 million 386 thousand UAH for the purchase of modern medical equipment for operating the children's Institute Amosova. The specified amount will be purchased anesthesia machine Leon Plus (made in Lowenstein, Germany), monitor the patient's condition CSM-1901 Pro (made in Nihon Kohden, Japan) and bedside patient monitor CSM-1502 Pro (made in Nihon Kohden, Japan). This equipment will significantly improve the operations and recovery period for patients of the Institute.

Note that the project continues for more than 10 years. Thanks to everyone who at one time or another joined the action has raised over UAH 17 million.This made it possible to provide expensive equipment repairs in medical facilities throughout the country, to acquire new modern devices for them, thereby saving children's lives. During the previous wave of the action, which ended at the end of the summer of 2019, a record was set - 1 million 330 thousand UAH were collected. For these funds, an ultrasound machine was purchased with a set of modern sensors for the Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after N. Amosova.
