Cerebral palsy, war and a mother's love: Serhiy

Sergiy has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy since birth: spastic diplegia, in the stage of independent walking, in the phase of independent standing. Level II motor disorders according to the GMFCS classification. Level I hand functions according to the MASS classification. The child needs to undergo systematic rehabilitation 3-4 times a year at the Kozyavkin International Rehabilitation Clinic (Truskavets). The treatment at this Center using Professor Kozyavkin's method was developed over 30 years ago and has gained wide international reputation for its effectiveness. The various therapeutic effects of this method, which complement and reinforce each other, are aimed at achieving the main goal of rehabilitation - to improve the quality of life of patients.
Our goal is to put Sergiy back on his feet and give his mother a child with unrestricted movement.

Thanks to charitable contributions, the amount of UAH 34,066.00 (thirty-four thousand sixty-six hryvnias 00 kopecks) was collected on the platform of the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace dobro.ua and after the boy completed the course of treatment, we paid the invoice issued by the clinic. The rehabilitation course lasted from June 23 to July 04, 2025.

         After the course of treatment, Mom wrote: "The rehabilitation was successful. We underwent the following procedures: - neurophysiological correction of the spine according to the method of Professor Kozyavkin; reflexology; massage complex; mobilizing gymnastics (many exercises with a physical therapy instructor); joint mobilization; paraffin applications; orofacial massage (face massage); computer game therapy. Exercise on an exercise machine was also useful, as my son has a coordination disorder and no balance. We held classes in the BioCorrector (a “spiral” suit), where we exercised on a treadmill and walked up and down stairs. As a result of treatment, muscle tone in the limbs decreased."
