Excursions for the elderly

Old age is often a critical period in life. A person who has worked all his life and led an active life retires and feels useless to anyone: there is no need to go to work, children are adults and have their own lives ... Finding themselves in such a situation, it is very difficult for many to cope, not to give up, find a new meaning in life. Prolonging the youthfulness of old age is very simple. And we can do it with you, dear our benefactors! There is a fairly simple way, even in old age, to improve your life, to feel joy and desire to live again - this is to travel. And venerable age is not a sentence. 

Since November 2019, at the BF "Caritas-Khmelnitsky UGCC" there has been a project "Socio-cultural community "Young hearts" under the program to support the elderly in Ukraine "We nearby". Among our beneficiaries are elderly people who were subjected to Nazi persecution, children of war. Every day they rush from different parts of the city of Khmelnytsky to our Center, because they do not want to stay at home alone with their problems and illnesses, but strive to communicate, meet their like-minded people and friends. 

One of the activities of the CF "Caritas-Khmelnitsky UGCC" is the organization of interesting, meaningful leisure for their wards.It must be remembered that retirees, although they have a lot of free time that they could spend on travel, but they are limited in funds. In total we need to collect 40,000 UAH, so that at least 25 elderly people are left completely alone in the world, again not faced with a terrible feeling of indifference and uselessness! Active elderly people really need this kind of leisure, because when you spend time interestingly, fatigue and bad mood recede, inspiration appears to communication and learning. It does not matter if you are 30 or 60 + ...
