Emilia gets rehabilitation instead of childhood

Emilia was born into this world in a very serious condition: 4/10 on the Apgar scale with the help of vacuum extraction, she was asphyxiated. At the age of 11 months, Emilia regressed: she stopped walking for 3 weeks and only called out. Gradually, the girl stopped repeating the actions of adults, then her words disappeared, she stopped pointing at what she wanted and responding to her name. Emilia became very selective in her food, constantly screamed, did not speak, and her condition worsened with each passing month.

When the girl turned 2, doctors said that Emilia had autism. The girl undergoes rehabilitation, works with a speech and language therapist, a correctional teacher, a neuropsychologist, a practical psychologist, and is engaged in ABA therapy. All of these sessions are giving good results. The girl also underwent bioacoustic correction, which also gave positive results. Rehabilitation became the main part of the girl's life – instead of childhood, instead of playgrounds, friends, and socializing.

Only at the age of 3.8 Emilia began to say her first words, but she still has no full-fledged speech. At the age of about 4, she learned to point to objects of interest and understand the speech she was being told. The girl has made significant progress, but still needs a lot of rehabilitation. She is almost 4 years old and, unfortunately, still wears a diaper.

Emilia loves to play with puzzles, construction sets and other logical toys, watch books and animals. Little by little, she became interested in children, insects and the world around her. She dreams of having a happy future, talking and having friends, and spending her days on the playground, not in rehabilitation centers.

Emilia really needs our help, thanks to you she will be able to undergo rehabilitation in one of the best centers in Kyiv for children with autism. Emilia has the 3rd degree of autism (the most severe) and the 1st level of underdevelopment of speech and understanding (also the most severe).

Her mother is begging everyone for help, the diagnosis of autism will be with her all her life, but she will be able to adapt to a full life thanks to rehabilitation. After all, it is not only about childhood, but also about adult life, in which she has to fully serve herself, communicate with people, and for this, we need to act now.
