Endoscopic instrument for ENT patients OKHMATDIT

This project was created and funded by charitable funds, which were compensated for the established charitable elevator in the 19th pavilion "Kurazh Bazar" in the framework of the project "Birthday lift".

Now we will help to introduce endoscopy in the field of otorhinolaryngology in a leading children's hospital. Endoscopy is a new modern technology of surgical interventions and diagnostics. We have to buy the special tools for the treatment of children with ear, throat and nose diseases. Total amount is UAH 1,083,735.

The video endoscopy and special tools help Okhmatdit's otolaryngologists to perform effective diagnostics and low-trauma operations for children. For example they can remove various tumors, polyps, adenoids, perform operations for curvature of the nasal septum in infants; remove a foreign objects from the nasal cavity, ears or larynx, operate on the consequences of injuries of the upper respiratory tract ect.

This equipment will allow to perform up to 5,000 ENT operations and 7,000 diagnostics annually and to provide quality care to children. Endoscopic surgery is less painful for the child, it does not require external tissue incisions. A small patient does not lose much blood, and then recovers quite easily and quickly. Endoscopy makes it possible to reduce the time spent under anesthesia, which is important for the child's body.

With the special tools we purchase, surgeons will be able to reach difficult areas and neatly remove tumors. A mini-video camera on the endoscope stand monitors all the surgeon's actions and displays it on the monitor. This allows them to perform manipulations as accurately as possible.
