Humanitarian kits for wounded military

Soldiers who are admitted to hospitals with severe injuries experience additional stress due to the lack of basic necessities. After receiving medical care, they remain in the hospital for some time, and their relatives are not always able to send them the things they need (underwear, clothing, hygiene products, etc.). This creates an additional burden of searching for the necessary things and difficulties if a veteran has lost a limb, and will greatly facilitate their stay during surgical or inpatient treatment.

The ZDOROVI team, thanks to its experience of cooperation with medical institutions, wants to solve this problem. For the funds raised by this project, we planned to purchase and distribute basic necessities kits that include hygiene products, clothing, and medicines. This is a basic set of things that will ensure a comfortable stay of the soldier in the hospital during treatment.

The set includes:

1. Hygiene products:

• toothpaste/toothbrush;
• soap;
• shampoo;
• toilet paper;
• wet wipes;
• paper napkins/towels;
• shaving cream and aftershave;
• disposable shaving machines;
• towel
• moisturizer for hands and face;
• personal hygiene products (for women).

2. Clothing:

• medical pajamas with Velcro (priority);
• slippers (without backs);
• underwear;
• T-shirts;
• socks;
• sports pants or suits.

3. Medicines and medical supplies:

• disposable diapers;
• antiseptics;
• «Paracetamol»;
• oral antispasmodics, painkillers;
• sedatives.

The number of kits purchased through the project is 10, which means we have provided 10 soldiers with the most necessary things.

All the kits were planned to be transferred to Dnipro City Clinical Hospital No. 16, but due to the hospital's refusal to receive the humanitarian kits because of the difficulty of registering non-medical tangible assets, they were transferred to the Municipal non-profit enterprise «Central City Clinical Hospital» of the Sumy City Council.
