I run to turn donated blood in the healing elixir, Lana Shevchenko

'To raise funds for reagents is much more harder than to raise funds for concrete person. Reagents is not evoking emotions', - smiling Lana, - 'But reagents are saving lives.'

From the early childhood Lana was engaged in to the sports activities. 'Our father taught me and my brother to do morning runs, later it became ritual. Also I had very strict teacher of sport classes. To get mark '4' and '5' we had to visit sport sections 2-3 times a week. So this is how sport became part of my everyday life.'

Later Lana started to be interested in karate - this sport developed in her willpower and helpful habits. 'I think that every victory - is a result of everyday routine activities. Also, I think, willpower and stability is much more important than talent.'

Blood donation - is also as good habit as a sport. But in our country to be blood donor is not enough for saving lives. In blood transfusion centers there is urgent need for reagent for blood possession. And without them all efforts of donors are not so effective - blood is just saved in storage. On April 17 Lana Shevchenko is running to raise awareness on this issue.

Let's support Lana! It seems that we are raising money just for reagents but in fact we are saving lives!
