"I run because I want to get more attention to the needs of these children. Many of us do not even understand what happiness it is just to walk and to independently overcome distances. Do not appreciate the fact that people with cerebrovascular crisis are a dream. Running is freedom, and if I can somehow help a child feel free, then I can not stand".

The story of this guy began 10 years ago. Vadim Bazko was born on 6 months, with a weight of 1 kg 400 gr. Doctors immediately took the child to the intensive care unit, connected to the device for artificial respiration, since Vadim could not breathe by himself.

"It's so hard to look at your child when he lies in the covez with tubes, helpless, and you understand that you can’t help him." His mother Elena remembers those moments with scaring in her voice. The doctors calmed her mother, promised that her son would be fine. After resuscitation they were transferred to the department of preterm infants to gain weight, and after a month they were discharged. Vadim weighed 2 kg. Happiness of parents was not the limit, but everything turned out not as they thought. The real problems were waiting for them ahead.

"My baby was gaining weight normally, like all children. We began to worry only when we noticed a lag in the development of Vadim: that he does not sit, does not do what the children do at their age. We immediately turned to the doctor and she told us that treatment should be started immediately, that we should not lose time if we want Vadim to sit, walk, be like all the children... When Vadymchik was a one year old, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy " Elena tells this for us.

Now, in his 10 years, Vadim has passed more than 20 courses of rehabilitation in 4 cities of Ukraine. The boy learned a lot. He went to school, where he made great strides: the 2nd and 3rd grades finished excellent. Vadim has a dream: he wants to be a football player. The boy does not miss a single match broadcast on television. He battles for the national team of Ukraine, knows the whole team! Vadim has chances to stand up, learn to walk, run, jump, play football, for this he needs rehab, which reduces the muscle tone and allows you to better control the movements of your body. For today Vadim already knows how to walk on hand is a great achievement for the boy! The family moves to normal life with little steps, but there's still so much work ahead of it.
