I'm running for you. Breathe! Maria Zakharenko

My name is Maria Zaharenko. Nova Poshta Poshta Kyiv Half marathon is the fifth 'official' marathon I'm taking part in, and is the second charitable one. My relations with running started last year. The same year for the first time I ran for the cause – to help others. I am grateful to everyone, who supported me and my fundraising efforts. I am hoping for your support this time as well.

A lot of people want to help, but they don't know how, don't have time and sometimes due-to everyday routine are just loosing such important thing as charity. Last year we, together with Foundation 'Everybody Can' raised funds for little patients of neurosurgery, and this year we can help people who have issues with breathing.

I am raising funds to purchase equipment for resuscitation department of pulmonology Center – spirograph. It measures 32 indicators of respiratory function of patient and helps to examine the condition of respiratory organs, to diagnose and to make decision on treatment. This equipment can restore health of hundreds people!

Breathing is something granted from the moment of birth. It is hard to imagine, what the person who cannot breath, feels! I will run for those, who can afford today joy of moving and freedom of breathing. I hope that together we can help to raise funds so the breathing will not be interrupted.
