The boy in the photo is Matvii, totally blind. The baby was born at the 36th week by cesarean section, and according to the conclusions of the doctors, the boy was absolutely healthy. At least it seemed so then.

Happy mother and son were discharged home, time passed, Matvii grew up. However, when he was 3 months old, his mother began to notice that the boy was not making eye contact with people and objects around him. The worried mother immediately went to the doctor, who diagnosed the boy with grade 5 retinopathy and retinal detachment. In order to improve the vision situation, the doctors had to operate on Matvii. In total, he underwent 6 ophthalmic surgeries, which, unfortunately, did not bring the desired results.

Soon Matvii will be 5 years old, but he still does not do without outside help: he cannot eat, dress and serve himself on his own. Due to the delay in psycho-speech development, it is difficult for the boy to contact other children, however, rehabilitation in specialized centers helps to cope with this problem. After the last course of such treatment, Matvii began to better make contact with other people, answer questions and engage in dialogue. His vocabulary improved and his EEG showed improvement in brain development, which is great!

For better adaptation of Matthew in society, he needs to continue his rehabilitation. However, the family has absolutely no funds for them. Help him get into a new treatment!
