It is happiness to be healthy and to breathe. When you don’t know what is breathlessness and asphixy. When you don’t need to take lots of medicines, dozens of inhalations, when you breathe easily. I know that the level of oxygen in the blood of the normal person is 95 – 100 %. I know that if the level of oxygen or saturation is less than 94 %, one should take actions. But what to do when this saturation is at the level of 65 %, sometimes even 45 %, I don’t know. Do people live with such saturation or not… or none the less live?

It appears that people live and even bead the pictures and icons, read, listen to the music, and dream. They dream to go for a walk, drive the car and just go to visit friends.

And this is about Anya. Anya is almost 26 years old, she is a psychologist. She was happy to have the best parents ever, loving, working hard to have money for Anya’s treatment. She was unlucky to be born with a rare diagnosis, cystic fibrosis. She was also unlucky that the state could not provide her with such simple things as inhalators, oxygen level monitors, and oxygen concentrators. And portable concentrator is just a dream.

And she just wants to meet her friends, go the cinema, café. To visit some friends, to have a walk. All these are simple things. But not for Anya. "Unfortunately, I am bound to oxygen concentrator for 4 years already. Even to go to the hospital to have tests being necessary for me is stress for the organism, because saturation falls up to 45%. The larger half of my life time goes on in the hospital wards or at home, in the place where hose could reach…".

We think that it is so easy for all of us to make the dream of this girl – to enjoy walks, meeting friends and not to be afraid of oxygen lack - come true. The cost of this dream is the cost of the apparatus, just money. We can, can’t we?
