Igor faces the leg's amputation

Igor is 6 years old, and this year he has to go to the first class. But severe vascular pathology – a Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber syndrome could interfere with a child to start his studying. The disease struck his right leg, she relentlessly progressive and leads to dire consequences. Igor's leg uncontrollably grows, it becomes disproportionate to the length and thickness, loses its shape. Further forecasts are disappointing – curvature of the spine, heart complications, and perhaps – even leg's amputation.

With vascular pathology boy was born, and his parents long pestered institutions and hospitals, while the Institute Shalimova not diagnosed "arteriovenous malformation of the right leg". It was recommended banding, and receive no treatment. Mother sympathized, Igor gave a disability – and that's it. Due to illness leg length difference in a child now is 3.5 cm, thickness – 6 cm, feet length – 1.5 cm. Disrupts the function of muscles and bones. All this is accompanied by terrible swelling, blue legs and genitals, as well as pain. Sometimes the skin oozes lymph. Without special treatment and surgery his leg could be amputated.

In autumn 2010, thanks to the Foundation "Ein Herz für Kinder", friends, family, and good people managed to send the child to the clinic for treatment in Germany "Fioldi." In 2012, took another step on the vessels already in a specialized clinic Regensburg. Then two more operations – vascular and orthopedic (titanium plates inserted to stop the uncontrolled growth of the patient feet). The doctor has warned of the need for at least two operations, but said that the child has a good chance to improve the state and an end to the destruction of the body subject to their timely implementation.

Now the child needs to do two operations: one – on the vessels, and the second – orthopedic. Planned operations in June. And the resources of family and friends have been exhausted. Cost of vascular surgery is 13 500 EUR, orthopedic – 7 900 EUR. On UBB we plan to collect part of the required amount.
