Igor faces the leg's amputation. Stage 2

In spring 2015 fifteen hundred philanthropists helped save the leg of a six year old Igor Statkevich from amputation. Heavy pathology vessels struck his right foot, causing the destruction of his entire body. Ukrainian doctors had predicted an amputation, but a number of preliminary operations in Germany was allowed to keep the child's leg and slow the progression of the disease.

Your donations have helped the boy to go and study – he went to the first class in the autumn. Now Igor needs another operation to stop the development of the disease.

In June 2015 Igor went through two complex surgeries. Operation on vessels lasted six hours. Then German doctors replaced a titanium plate in the leg. Igor had suffered a lot, but he bravely endures pain, multiple injections and rehabilitation.

But a Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber syndrome is severe vascular disease and need lengthy treatment and several operations to illness ceased to destroy the child's body.

With vascular pathology boy was born, and his parents long pestered institutions and hospitals, while the Institute Shalimova not diagnosed "arteriovenous malformation of the right leg". It was recommended banding, and receive no treatment. Mother sympathized, Igor gave a disability – and that's it. Due to illness leg length difference in a child already was 3.5 cm, thickness – 6 cm, feet length – 1.5 cm. Were disturbed the function of muscles and bones. All this is accompanied by terrible swelling, blue legs and genitals, as well as pain. Sometimes the skin oozes lymph. Without special treatment and surgery his leg could be amputated.

In 2010, thanks to the Foundation "Ein Herz für Kinder" and good people managed to send the child in Germany for treatment. Since then Igor underwent six operations on vessels and bones in specialized clinic of Regensburg. Doctors removed and "bandaged" some vessels, inserted titanium plates in leg to stop its uncontrolled growth. The doctor warned of need at least two operations, but said that a child has all the chances of recovery, subject to their timely implementation.

Now the child needs another operation on vessels. Operation is scheduled for the summer in the clinic of Regensburg. It cost 13 600 EUR. On UBB we plan to collect 250 000 UAH.
