Ilona's life is all about dancing, movement, and the poems she reads at school concerts. It's also about a strict diet and daily blood sugar checks. But no matter what, she dreams of a world without illness and war.

In June 2022, Ilona was diagnosed with non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. Thanks to diet, exercise and medication, she managed to stabilise her health.

But recently, her weight has started to increase again, and her blood glucose levels are also dangerously fluctuating. An endocrinologist has prescribed medications: Lanera, Saxenda and Sindoardi, which help lower glucose levels, normalise overall health and weight. With your help, we will be able to purchase a three-month supply of medication. 

We also need to pay for blood tests at the CentroLab medical laboratory for 1,185 UAH to determine the dosage of the medication. Ilona undergoes these tests once every 3 months.

Last summer, Ilona's family was forced to leave their native Lozovata and start all over again in Kryvyi Rih, now with IDP status. For Iryna, who is raising two children without their father's involvement, these expenses are prohibitive.
