Wheelchair for Ania

The birth of a long-awaited child is a great happiness. And what will happen after the birth of a child  no one can predict.

And in Oksana's situation – pregnancy passed perfectly, without pathologies. The day before the birth, on ultrasound, the expectant mother heard the first terrible news – the child has a severe heart defect. A wonderful baby was born – Ania. The parents hoped that the girl's diagnoses were wrong, but, unfortunately, after the birth everything was confirmed: congenital heart disease – hypoplasia of the left heart, atresia of the mitral valve, double discharge of the main vessels from the right ventricle. There is a long and difficult struggle for life ahead.

According to doctors, the girl had to have 3 heart surgeries. The first was successful (Aniuta was then 1.5 months old), the second was successful, but on the 5th day after surgery in the intensive care unit, the child began internal bleeding. As a result – three more operations and a month in intensive care without any predictions. The family coped with it. But a new test came – hydrocephalus, CT signs of large bilateral multicystic encephalomyelitis and cerebral palsy. The girl began to undergo rehabilitation, which requires large sums of money each time.

Cerebral palsy and weight loss are very scary. Even now she is 8 years old, she can't sit, walk, talk, but the girl is very smart, she understands everything and tries.

The family is now in Germany, and their house in Kharkiv came under fire. The situation with Ania's movement is critical, adults are carrying a girl in their arms. They can't get a wheelchair in Germany, so the family had to turn to us for help.

Help Aniuta, she really needs a wheelchair!
