The severe winter frosts were a real challenge for Bilal's family. Snow-covered roads made it very difficult to get around, as the wheelchair could hardly move and leaving the house was almost impossible. The situation was further complicated by the lack of electricity for up to 18 hours a day, which meant that the house was cold and access to water was limited. All this created many difficulties for Bilal. The boy often cried, and sometimes he had to be given painkillers. He hardly played on his own and constantly needed attention.
Home schooling is minimal, and so far there have been no significant results — his development remains at the level of the first year of life. At the same time, there are positive changes: his digestive system is gradually beginning to normalise. This requires constant supervision, but even small progress brings great joy.
