As of June 1, almost 204.6 thousand forcibly displaced persons were registered in Kharkiv, including persons with disabilities, the elderly, and families with children, etc. Leaving places where it is no longer possible to live, IDPs hope to find shelter and assistance in relatively safe cities. However, unfortunately, Kharkiv also continues to suffer from shelling almost daily. Being in constant stress affects a person’s psycho-emotional state, increases anxiety, apathy, and fatigue. In the circumstances in which Kharkiv residents and forcibly displaced persons live, constant psychological assistance from specialists is needed. Thanks to the project "Group rehabilitation therapy classes for families with children who have suffered from russian military aggression in Ukraine", which has been operating since 2022, beneficiaries regularly receive the necessary psychological services.
Psychologists work with beneficiaries in several areas: providing individual consultations, as well as conducting group art therapy meetings. Employees create a comfortable space where you can distract yourself from problems, reduce internal tension, express hidden emotions through creativity, and spend time with your child. According to our beneficiaries, they feel relief and improvement immediately after the events, because it is very difficult to find time for yourself in your daily routine.
Thanks to the donor's funding, the fund has everything you need for art therapy, except for the funds to purchase materials: pencils, paints, paper, etc. Since these materials are quickly used up, the fund is forced to reopen the collection. We ask you to support the project of psychological assistance to residents of Kharkiv and internally displaced persons who moved to the city in search of shelter. Thanks to the funds raised, the fund will be able to purchase materials for conducting art therapy meetings. We believe that together we will be able to overcome the devastating consequences of the war for Ukrainians and maintain the strength to restore our country after victory. Thank you!
