Kharkiv. Children dance to win

The Otradne Center for Children and Families has been operating in Kharkiv for over 25 years. With the outbreak of hostilities in the Kharkiv region, the doors of the center were closed to visitors. In January 2023, the center slowly started working to the delight of children living in the city and internally displaced persons who came here for rescue and help.

Now Kharkiv residents are in a difficult situation because kindergartens and schools are closed. Children are forced to spend most of the day at home, studying remotely. Of course, children suffer without active leisure, without communication with their peers, without sports clubs. Thanks to the Otradne Center, they have the opportunity to meet these needs. The center offers classes in drawing, ceramics, dancing, circus arts, school preparation, hapkido, technical creativity, chess, etc.

The dance club is particularly popular, with children of all ages, from very young to teenagers, taking part in the classes. Thanks to the professional qualities of the club's leader, 58 children attend it today. Unfortunately, in 2024, the foundation faced a shortage of funds. Because of this, it is forced to seek funding to pay the salaries of the club leaders. Every month we need UAH 11,320 to give Kharkiv boys and girls the opportunity to dance to authentic Ukrainian songs and preserve their national identity. After all, today they dance only for the sake of victory. We ask each of you to support our project and tell your friends and acquaintances about it. Together we can do more than we can do alone!
