Kharkiv region. Preparing for the winter for IDPs2
The rolling blackouts throughout Ukraine have already shown us how difficult the coming winter will be and how much our everyday life depends on the stable operation of all networks. But we do not count on peace, knowing all the insidiousness of our enemy, so we are already taking the necessary steps to minimize the negative consequences of such accidents and outages.
We've been able to put together a near-perfect kit that will help a family weather outages or survive for extended periods of time in the event of grid failures due to enemy shelling. It includes:
-
A 140x200 cm woolen blanket to keep you warm in the absence of heating;
-
A 1-liter thermos that will provide you with a hot beverage for almost a day;
-
Powerbank, which can be used to power mobile devices, stay in touch with relatives and follow the news when there is no power supply;
-
Heat fan, which will help to quickly heat small rooms if there is no heating, it can also be powered from a generator;
-
Long-burning candles and a lighter for them, which will provide light at night when there is no power supply.
The cost of one such kit is 2,000 UAH. And now our goal is to provide them to 250 IDP families who have lost their homes, live in extremely difficult conditions and are in great need of these funds.
Let's together provide IDP families with the most necessary tools and help them to survive the winter!
