Kharkiv children are preparing for school

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the children of Kharkiv region have been deprived of many opportunities, including educational ones. Unfortunately, only underground schools are operating today, which are not enough for the scale of Kharkiv. And state kindergartens do not work at all. We are used to the fact that a child acquires the first writing and reading skills in kindergarten. In life without war, it is exactly like that. But from 2022, Kharkiv families with children live in a different reality, where kindergartens and schools do not work, where children work remotely, staying at home most of the day. And the child should get acquainted with letters together with his parents or in private kindergartens, which cost a lot of money. Is there an alternative? Yes. For more than 25 years, the "Otradne" creative center for children and families has been operating in Kharkiv, where children have the opportunity to attend various groups. Including "Preparation of a child for school".

Thanks to the partial financing of the main donor, the foundation has the opportunity to organize classes for children in preparation for school. So, children get used to being in a team, learn to hold a pen in their hand and write their first letters and numbers, learn the basics of reading, etc. Thanks to being in a "school" environment, children get an understanding of what school activities are, how they are carried out, how to behave, etc.

We see the great relevance of this project in the Kharkiv region, where kindergartens and schools have been closed for almost 2.5 years. Therefore, we ask you to support the collection of funds for the work of the "Preparation for School" group at the Center for Creativity for Children and Families "Otradne" during the month. The amount of the fee is UAH 13,206. We ask you to support this project and give children the opportunity to develop in the right environment.
