In August 2023, the project "Kherson Region still needs our support!" was posted on the website of the MBF "UBB" - dobro.ua, the purpose of which is to collect funds for the purchase of medical equipment for the Kherson Infectious Disease Hospital in the total amount of UAH 380,770.00 .

In August 2023, part of the amount for the project was collected and, in connection with the hospital's urgent need for equipment due to the disaster at the Kakhovskaya HPP and the spread of infections, an amount of UAH 160,770.00 was withdrawn. for the purchase of a laboratory cabinet and a pH meter.

The equipment was paid for on August 16, 2023, and on September 1, 2023, a pH meter was delivered to the hospital, the cost of which is UAH 58,300.00.

The manufacture of the laboratory cabinet took some time, and the equipment was delivered on October 19, 2023 for the amount of UAH 102,360.00.

The pH meter is an ideal device for systematic pH monitoring of nutrient media, which is a very important stage for the diagnosis of intestinal diseases, and the laboratory fume hood will provide an additional workplace for safe work with biological material, which is of great importance when the volume of work increases. It is especially important to provide regions such as Kherson with all the necessary equipment, it is important to prevent critical situations in the event of crises or disasters and will help doctors provide quality medical care to people.

As of November 2023, the actual amount of project implementation amounted to UAH 160,660.00. The balance of the unspent transferred funds amounted to UAH 110.00. Fundraising for the project continued.

As of March 2024, the balance of the funds collected and not transferred amounted to 19946.00, so we withdrew this amount of funds for the purchase of a medical centrifuge according to the project's goal, and the project was stopped due to the loss of relevance.

On March 12, 2024, our fund paid for medical equipment worth UAH 38,640.00, of which UAH 20,056.00 are funds transferred from BO "MBF "UBB" (including the balance of funds in the amount of UAH 110.00 from the previous transfer), and the fund used the rest of the amount from its own budget.

On March 15, the centrifuge was already delivered to the hospital and is currently performing its functions: it is used to divide the structure of liquid biosamples into their components, and is an integral part in the study of blood serum for infectious diseases.

The total project budget is UAH 180,716.00.

We sincerely thank the dobro.ua platform and everyone who supported this project and contributed to its implementation!
