I want to be a pillar, not a burden

Troubles happen when we least expect them. We live, study, work and relax... and don’t think that at the most unexpected moment destiny will present us a hard probation. Unfortunately, Alina Starodubtseva can’t cope with probation in her life without our help. She must immediately find a large number of money for rehabilitation after an accident.

No one can be insured from such accidents. In April 2012 a 23-year-old student of the Theatre University, the future actress Alina Starodubtseva, had run into a trouble. In Simferopol, in the Gagarin park, in broad daylight, a tree had fallen on her. Five broken vertebraes, damaged spinal cord – that’s only a small part in the list of all injuries. One and a half months in ICU she was literally on the verge of life and death. The doctors gave unpromising predictions: with such injuries only two of the four survive, and those two people will never even sit to the end of life. However, Alina had survived, now she is doing well and is eager to return to a normal life - to walk again, to dance, to work in theater and cinema and to be not a drag, but a support for her family.

And this girl has a chance! To stand up, she needs two years of continuous rehabilitation. But unfortunately, everything comes down to money that family doesn’t have- 418,000 UAH. With the help of friends, and just good people who have expressed a desire to help, Alina and her mother collected about 30,000 UAH. But time passes, fund-raising is moving slower and slower, and every month of delay can become an obstacle on the road to recovery ... The girl really needs help.

This project was canceled, the amount collected is 34 180 UAH. The funds were disposed of in accordance with the Rules, Principles, and Procedures of the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace (UBB) International Charitable Fund and the decisions of the Project Donors.
