Ivano-Frankivsk is the Ukrainian cradle of the palliative care. All specially trained doctors and nurses, who can take care of seriously ill people during last period of their life, study here. Everything about how to help a suffering person is known here, they work with love here. But something important is missing. The staff of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Palliative Care Center asks for additional oxygen devices: there are not enough of them.

Your support will not only save people from shortness of breath, but will also allow some to avoid hospitalization and to be treated at home.

Oxygen concentrators are necessary for the patients with tumors, metastases, or fibrotic changes in the lungs, when they are unable to produce enough oxygen and hypoxia develops. Oxygen starvation is not only painfully felt, but also has a detrimental effect on the whole body which goes weak. The death comes earlier. Instead, when the apparatus takes over the function of filtering oxygen from the surrounding ambient air, it gives a great relief to the person. It's like "lungs in a suitcase".

We have already delivered oxygen concentrators to the Ivano-Frankivsk Palliative Care Center, but practice shows that they are not enough for all patients. One has to wangle somehow to ease the patient's condition, but these are more complicated or less effective methods.

We ask for help with the payment for additional medical equipment. At the end of life, people need quality and comfortable treatment so badly!
