On January 20, 2022, the project "Disease that takes away the ability to move" was posted on the website of the MBF "UBB" - dobro.ua, the purpose of which was to collect funds to pay for a stair lift for Danyla Chehuta (diagnosis - Duchenne muscular dystrophy).
Danylo suffers from an extremely rare, complex and incurable disease - Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Its course is accompanied by the gradual death of all muscles. At the age of 14, Danylo could no longer walk on his own, so the boy and his mother needed a lift.
Fundraising ended in January 2022, we paid for the lift on February 1st, but the delivery of the lift was scheduled for the end of February 2022.
But Danylo received the long-awaited equipment only on May 30, 2022. This is caused by waiting for the delivery of the lift and the deployment of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
Danylo and his mother continue to fight against a terrible disease, and the lift has made life much easier for the family.
