Club of meaningful leisure "60+"

We ask you to donate for the club for social well-being for seniors in "Caritas Kyiv". Older people are doomed for loneliness and decreasing their communication friends up to two-three people from the neighborhood, it leads to social isolation, depression and health problems. Although there are a lot of entertainment, cultural and social places to visit in the capital, they are not oriented to older people and often they are too expensive for them.

That is why with your help we want to create a senior club at the meetings it is planned to teach people to hand knitting from thick yarn. A group of elderly people will meet 2-3 times per month, and made blankets planned to be presented to children in need and disabled children.

The goal is to help older people to feel their important role in the community. To give them an opportunity to spend their free time usefully and pleasantly, as well as making senior friends, staying social active and willing to try new things that would ensure their self-realization. For knitting blankets, we need 60 kilograms of a thick yarn, that costs 36,000 UAH.
