In the final report, we present the results of the project obtained during January–July 2025, which significantly exceeded the planned indicators and thus brought satisfaction to the project team and, we hope, to the final beneficiaries:
1) Instead of the 20 planned by the project, 28 new Braille publications were printed with a total circulation of 1,600 books (instead of the planned 1,550 based on the number of paid covers).
2) 16 new audiobooks were produced, most of which are unique theatrical audiobooks featuring blind children and Ukrainian stars. The first 7 audiobooks were recorded with project funds on dobro.ua, and the remaining 9 were recorded after they were exhausted or as part of other projects.
The results of the project obtained between January and July 2025 are described in detail below:
I. Twenty new literary works were printed in Braille and/or in universal design (Braille + regular font), including in English. The remaining 1,250 of the 1,550 covers paid for by the project were used to bind them. In addition, in agreement with the UBB, 50 additional covers were produced from the remaining funds for the services of Nova Poshta for the publication of T.G. Shevchenko's “Children's Kobzar.” Thus, the total number of covers reached 1,600, of which 1,300 were produced during the reporting period.
The finished editions contain from one to five volumes in the first copy. The books are supplemented with embossed color illustrations, each of which is accompanied by a text description, as well as QR codes with audiobooks. Each book is “dressed” in a hard colored cover, on the outside of which there is an inscription in regular font and Braille indicating the author and title of the book.
The entire print run of 1,300 books was sent to blind children in special and inclusive schools, specialized institutions and organizations, individually to the places of residence of some children who are educated at home, and to public libraries in Ukraine. Lists of recipients were compiled with the contact details of each of them, and the lists were certified with the stamp of the Lviv branch of the State Enterprise “Ukrposhta.”

The total cost of the project on dobro.ua amounted to UAH 610,127.54 (six hundred and ten thousand one hundred and twenty-seven hryvnias and 54 kopecks). As of July 4, 2025, there are funds in the amount of UAH 179.46 (one hundred seventy-nine hryvnias and 46 kopecks) remaining in the Operator's bank account, which will be returned to the account of the UBB Charitable Foundation. Please dispose of the balance in accordance with the Rules, Principles, and Procedures of the Charitable Organization International Charitable Foundation “UBB.”
The assistance operator expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the Ukrainian Charity Exchange Charitable Foundation and its employees, all donors and patrons, and all caring Ukrainians who helped to implement such a large-scale and useful project with their donations!
The assistance operator tried to select good literary works for printing and recording, using not only the requests of blind children of different ages, but also the advice of reading platforms, the opinions of literary scholars, and personal contacts with authors and publishers. Throughout the project, the operator carried out all activities on a purely voluntary basis, working continuously every day on the selection, editing, proofreading, layout, and printing of books in Braille, the adaptation and publication of relief drawings on a thermal printer, methods for describing these drawings, recording audiobooks and involving well-known artists in sound recording, packaging and loading books, and distributing them to the target audience. All this was exhausting, but it brought incredible moral and aesthetic satisfaction to the whole team!
