When Zlata dances...
Zlata was born on the 27th week of pregnancy on August 10, 2015. Mom only heard how the baby screamed a little and was taken away, saying: "You have a deeply premature baby, we are taking it to the intensive care unit." Those 2 hours in the delivery room for mom were an eternity and at the first opportunity, she already ran to the intensive care unit. And I saw her. This is such a "favorite kilogram", "a bundle of happiness." All in tubes, sensors, droppers, on a ventilator...
And my her watched and admired her princess. The manager said that the girl was born with a weight of 1160, height 36 cm, she did not breathe, she had to wait, the lungs were immature, it was not known whether they would open or not. The days were divided into intervals of 3 hours (every 3 hours they were allowed to visit her)... It is not clear where Zlata took her strength, but she clung to life. On the 8th day she was breathing, but for more than a month, she was on oxygen. There was everything in the intensive care unit - respiratory arrest, blood transfusions, and puncture, which showed that there was hemorrhage. A month later, new examinations began endless ultrasounds, which did not show anything good. Hemorrhage of grade 3, PVL - and this is 90 percent of cerebral palsy, hydrocephalic syndrome, punctures again and again. The first year was practically spent in the hospital. A bunch of drugs, repeated examinations, ultrasound. In a year, the baby was given disability for cerebral palsy. Then Zlata could only rollover.
Mom did not lower her hands, the struggle continued. In a year, the baby understood everything and spoke a lot of words, but physically... Endless rehabilitation, massages, and exercise therapy began, which continue now. The operation was performed - Achilloplasty went down to the heel. Now Zlata is almost 5 years old. Unfortunately, she does not walk on her own yet. Zlata dreams of running and jumping, playing with children, dancing, being just a happy girl, without restrictions.
She is very promising, and the prognosis is good, but rehabilitation is needed. The family tries very hard to cope on their own. But opportunities, especially at the present time, are lacking. Only with your help will Zlatka dance!
