We have always wanted many children and dreamed of a big happy family. When we knew about the pregnancy, we were very happy and looked forward to our first child. But the joy was darken by a difficult birth and diagnosis mucoviscidosis. The disease affects the glands of external secretion, affects the lungs and digestive system. Now special preparations mucolytics, that thinning out mucus are necessary for Dima. They are not cheap, and financial resources of our family almost exhausted. Please help!

Pregnancy was hard, with complications. And childbirth was not an exception. After 38 weeks started bleeding and placental abruption, thanks to experienced doctors c-section was made emergency and Dima was saved. After Dima’s birth, we breathed freely, thinking that our trials behind and there is bright future with our son and the joy of being a mom and dad. But our joy was soon overshadowed by the results of neonatal screening. We were informed that Dima has cystic fibrosis, congenital genetic disease that affects the glands of external secretion, and appears severely impaired function of the respiratory, gastro-intestinal tract. Despite the young age, Dima appreciate life and every day learns with incredible tenacity and perseverance, resisting disease and its manifestations. Every day for Dima -.a constant battle against the disease.

In order to continue to enjoy life and reach new heights, Dima required continuously throughout life medicine, often in large doses. Every day he needs mucolytics - substances that deplete the mucus and also he needs inhalers. In order to grow, gaining weight and develop Dima should receive special meal and every meal should take enzymes - otherwise the food is not digested. It needs special mixture of high protein. One of the pathological processes during mucoviscidosis is malabsorption of vitamins and antioxidants. So every day Dima takes special water-soluble forms of vitamins. Often antibiotics are needed - they allow to control respiratory infection and prescribed for prevention. There are also necessary preparations that thinning out bile and improve liver function. Daily - breathing exercises and special exercises aimed at removing mucus from the lungs with the help of balls and other equipment.

All of these drugs, measures and procedures take a lot of time, effort and money. Therefore we ask all people who have the opportunity, to help us with the acquisition of main drugs - mucolytics. Getting medicines and medical treatment, Dima has a chance to live a long and happy life, and that is our biggest dream!
