Vadim suffers from one of the most complicated forms of the infantile cerebral paralysis. The boy's parents do their best to improve his condition. But now such a simple thing as the USUAL son’s STEP is the BIGGEST DREAM of his parents. The boy must pass a very long and difficult path. In the near future Vadim needs rehabilitation at "Health" Medical Center, that costs 8800 UAH, and the treatment with "Cerebrocurin" priced at more than 5000 UAH. The family cannot afford this sum to pay. But for Vadim there is no time to lose!

Vadim was completely helpless for a very long time: couldn't sit, walk, and talk. Parents made all their efforts and money to ensure the continued treatment in hospitals and rehabilitation centers, different procedures: therapeutic horse riding, acupuncture, massage, exercise therapy, and others. As a result, the boy has learned to roll on his own, to sit, to speak some words and  to walk (with the assistance).

Vadim is very sociable, friendly, cheerful and positive boy. He loves people, children, animals, incredibly welcomes guests. Vadim loves when parents read him books, can paint in watercolors and markers, and loves to play with his dog.

Recently, Vadim began to grow fast and some previous achievements quickly disappeared: no longer straighten the legs when walking; he hardly can control his hands, does not say some words that previously could say. So now he needs very intensive rehabilitation. But parents are financially exhausted, and are not able to pay for their son’s treatment. In addition Vadim’s family still brings up a seven-month sick daughter.

Infantile cerebral paralysis is a general term for a group of children's diseases with the pathology of central nervous system that cause physical and muscle activity disorder, mainly in the areas of motion coordination. The word "cerebral" refers to "brain" (from the Latin word “cerebrum” - “brain”), and the word "paralysis" (from the Greek word “paralysis” – “relaxation”) defines insufficient, low physical activity.

Spastic tetraplegia is a complicated form of infantile cerebral paralysis, which is based on the brain destructure during pregnancy and childbirth due to thescarcity of oxygen. Spastic tetraplegia manifests in a way of arms and legs' muscles partial paralysis, blurred vision, speech, attention and cognitive development.

Although infantile cerebral paralysis cannot be cured, continuous training and therapy can lead to improvement of the human condition. The treatment of this pathology is a lifelong multitargeted process aimed at maintaining and restoring the functions that have been affected by the disease. In childhood, every effort must have been taken to rehabilitate the child. This is due to the fact that the brain is developing actively and execution of any lost or disturbed functions can be taken by healthy brain’s divisions. The sooner treatment and rehabilitation of cerebral palsy will begin, the more successful will be the process.

Vadim’s parents seek the support from all who care, who can help: "We’re just hoping for a mercy of aware people and believe that taking a step towards our boy, with time, he could make a real step towards us!".
