Every child has their own little miracle. For Yevheniia, it is the ability to take a step, keep her balance, swallow food safely, and smile without effort. What comes naturally to other children is, for her, a daily path that requires support and strength.
The first three months of her life showed no signs of trouble. Yevheniia was a calm, gentle baby who delighted her parents with her gaze and quiet cooing. But when, at three months, she was unable to hold her head up, her family understood that action was needed. Examinations, consultations, hospitals… and difficult diagnoses that change life forever: a congenital brain malformation, microcephaly, cerebral palsy, dyskinetic tetraparesis, and delayed psycho-speech development.
Despite everything, Yevheniia remains a warm and bright child. She loves watching cartoons, playing with colorful beads, and laughing when her family holds her in their arms. And she tries very hard: with her parents’ support, she is learning to roll over and attempting to stand. These small but significant steps give her family hope.
Treatment at the Institute of Pain Problems has become a real breakthrough for her: swallowing has finally improved, spasticity is gradually decreasing, and her body is beginning to move more freely. But for this progress to continue, regular treatment courses are essential. The war has left the family without stable income, and today they are seeking support for their little girl to continue her therapy.
Yevheniia is still very young, and her future is only beginning to take shape. Each new course brings her closer to independent movement, to her first words, to a fuller life. We can help make this possible.
Join the effort to support her. Any contribution is a step toward her next milestone – the moment she tries to stand holding her mother’s hand, say her first words, or simply smile without effort
