News February 2026

Valeria will soon begin a much-needed rehabilitation course.

Once she could only stand holding her mother's hand, but now she can walk with support and ride a bicycle.

This has been made possible by constant rehabilitation and daily work at home. It is up to us whether Lera's biggest dream – to walk independently – will come true.

Valeria was born with serious complications: oxygen deprivation, five operations in the first months of her life, and painful seizures that have accompanied her since childhood. The girl has cerebral palsy and other related diagnoses, so regular rehabilitation is a vital necessity for her.

The best results were achieved through classes at the Ioannovo Centre. In a year and a half, Lera learned to walk, balance, jump, and ride a bike. She has a better sense of her own body and can stand longer without support.

In addition, Valeria works regularly with a speech therapist, psychologist, and occupational therapist, undergoes physical and sensory therapy, and also works at home with her mother.

Lera is 15 years old. She is a kind, bright, and cheerful girl who loves music, dancing, and movement.

Above all, she dreams of walking on her own.

We have launched a fundraiser so that Valeria can undergo another course of rehabilitation in February.

We have helped Lera before, so let's support her again!
