Ticket to a better future

Do you know, what waits for the orphan children after they leave the orphan boarding school? At its best they will study another 2 years in the college and then live in the boarding house. And then what? Small random jobs, poverty, problems with the law, jail – and only a small chance to the miracle – a possibility to settle down in the half-way house. It’s hard for the orphan children, lower-income children and for those who were brought up in the needy family to choose the profession that suits them the best, because no one took care about their personal development in the childhood.

The teenagers who live in the half-way houses deserve a better future! The social development project "Ticket to success" will help them to determine the strong sides of their character, to develop their leadership skills, to visit a plenty of enterprises and to make acquaintance with their future employers. Thanks to our common efforts we will be able to give to 45 young persons a chance for a better future!

Thereare 2 establishmentsinLvivwheremaylivetheorphan children, lower-income children or those who were brought up in the needy family. It’s the public institution of social protection “Social hotel” (for boys) and the Community aid center of sisters of Immaculate Virgin Mary (for girls). There are also few community aid centers, which may be visited during the day by the children with the difficult living circumstances. It's the children from the establishment of this type whom we’d like to help.

The project of social responsibility of NGO Business Community Club "Ticket to Success" aims to create the new generation of Ukrainian leaders. The project exists as a part of the biggest business-club in Ukraine, which unites today more the 500 representatives of small businesses. That’s why the young people will have the possibility to visit different enterprises, to understand their specificity and particularities. After all, it’s so important to choose a right profession, especially for the young people who depend only on themselves.

The team of volunteer psychologists and trainers will work with the young people. These experts will help them to define the strong sides of their character, develop the leadership skills, communication ability, punctuality and responsibility as well as all the other skills which are necessary by getting a good job or by realizing own project.

With the implementation of this project 45 persons who live in halfway houses orothercommunityaidcentersinLvivshouldbeincludedin the annual basic program of the project “Ticket to success”. The financial support is needed to buy the necessary office supplies and to prepare the coffee break for 70 learning events to be organized during the whole year.
