IPAG doctors need sterilizers

A full-scale war in Ukraine not only disrupts peaceful life, undermines the country's economy and destroys human destinies, it also significantly complicates the work of the healthcare system. In the conditions of hostilities in medical institutions, it is not always possible to carry out high-quality infection control, and therefore a serious problem arises – an outbreak of nosocomial infection.

The Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology of the NAMH of Ukraine (IPAG) is the country's leading research institution in the field of maternal and child health, which helps 25,000 women and children annually. And now, when there is a war, she continues to work and save lives. But the intensive care unit of IPAG needs help – aerosol generators that will help doctors effectively fight nosocomial infections caused by antibiotic-resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus, Escherichia coli, etc.

The generators work thanks to the technology of "dry fog" – when absolutely all surfaces and air can be disinfected using aerosol fine disinfection using an oxygen active agent based on hydrogen peroxide. Thanks to these devices, doctors can disinfect operating rooms, delivery and resuscitation rooms, infection boxes and any common areas.Thanks to this project, we will be able to purchase 2 aerosol generators, as well as consumables with a two-month supply for them (namely, 16 OXIDAG salver 8% disinfectants and 16 5-liter canisters), so that IPAG doctors can disinfect in a timely manner, treat at least 500 (for 2 months) and not to worry about possible infections.

Also, the pediatric department of IPAG is ready to receive and provide emergency assistance to 250 war-affected children from Mariupol and other hot spots in Ukraine.
