Tanya is feeling better after her viral infection. She is currently in hospital in Lviv. She has five more post-operative cycles of chemotherapy to go. The current plan is for three five-day cycles and two one-day cycles of chemotherapy.
Tanya is very tired of enduring the pain. The last two cycles were extremely difficult for her: she had no appetite at all, ate nothing, only drank, felt constantly nauseous, her temperature rose, and her body ached. But at the same time, she understands that the treatment is necessary.
Yesterday, the doctor explained that Tanyusha is scheduled to undergo proton therapy rather than radiotherapy. This is a less aggressive method: it does not damage the mucous membranes and bones in the irradiation area as severely. This therapy will take place abroad. For now, the course of chemotherapy in Lviv continues. It is not yet known which clinic will be able to admit the child, but the process of preparing the documents is already underway.
Her mum is sincerely grateful for the support and help from all caring people!
