The story of Miroshnichenko family started in 2007 when parents after long-term infertility treatment found out that they are expecting twins. Kids were so in a hurry to see the parents that were born 10 weeks earlier. Valia was born first with a weight a little bit more than a kilogram. Valerii weighted 270 grams more than his sister. Mother Tatiana didn't expect that on such happy day she will feel a lot of fear for her children. In the first minutes of life tiny newborns were connected to artificial ventilation. Three long months of injections, droppers and treatment.

Three long months of praying. Kids were released from the hospital in satisfactory condition. Parents wanted to breathe out and enjoy parenting, but their challenges only started. In a month girl was diagnosed as visually impaired. In a two months boy was diagnose with central nervous system damage. And life of the family turned out into kaleidoscope of hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and scientific institutes. Numerous eye-surgeries didn't bring the eyesight back to Valia. But Valera's health improved! Treatment and rehabilitation are still ongoing, since Valera needs to train his muscles every day in order to keep progress. Valia has limited mobility because of being visually impaired, but she also needs to move in order to prevent inferiority of the neuromuscular system and deformity of the limbs.

These kids need all the time accessible training apparatus for training of different groups of muscles. The professionals advised that it should be special bicycle – special fasteners and pedals, with adjustable back, stable and safe. In Ukraine exists the special development of a tricycle from TM "Velodoktor", which is adapted for patients with severe neuro-pathology. For Valia and Valera such bicycle is not a toy, but a sever need. Unfortunately, parents don't have means to buy it – when the war started family had to move from native Donetsk, father lost his job, mother is taking care of two disabled kids. Part of the money has already been collected, on UBB we collect the remaining amount UAH 29,870.

But together we can help! Valera already dreams how he will ride a bicycle through the puddles and how splashes, like a rainbow, will shimmer in the rays of the spring sun. And Valia listens to him and smiles.
