War steals from children not only their childhood but also their voice. The psychological trauma, stress, and loss they endure lead to severe speech and language disorders. As a result, children struggle to speak clearly, express their thoughts, or manage their emotions. This blocks their path to learning, friendship, and self-confidence.
A child with a speech disorder often withdraws into themselves. The inability to communicate can manifest as tantrums, aggression, or deep apathy. These children face misunderstanding from peers, ridicule at school, and academic struggles. Without help, this invisible wound can last a lifetime, severely limiting the child's potential.
This is where our Foundation's Speech and Language Pathologist steps in. They work with children from the families we support, as well as with the most vulnerable children from the Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation, who require the most delicate and professional care. Our specialist does more than correct pronunciation – they restore a child's ability to communicate, learn, socialize, and smile again. Their work is key to healing the wounds of trauma and fear, creating a safe space where a child is no longer afraid to speak, to share thoughts, feelings, and needs. It helps overcome barriers in reading and writing, rebuilds self-confidence, and restores the ability to make friends, play, and feel like part of a community.
For our Speech and Language Pathologist to continue providing regular, crucial sessions to the children waiting for help, we need your support. Your contribution will fund the specialist's work, purchase necessary speech therapy materials, and cover communication costs for remote online sessions.
Together, let's give these children back their voice – and with it, their chance for a happy future.
