Makar: the road to freedom of movement

Thanks to charitable contributions, the amount of UAH 13,200.00 (thirteen thousand two hundred hryvnias) 00 kopecks was collected on the platform of the CO ICF “Ukrainian Charity Exchange” dobro.ua. Due to the fact that the course of treatment was about to end and the need to pay for it, we appealed to the UBB by letter No. 11/24 dated 15.03.24 with a request to contribute to this project in the amount of 10 980 (ten thousand nine hundred and eighty) UAH 00 kopecks from the Moneybox of the category “Health”. After the boy completed the course of treatment, we paid the invoice of UAH 24 180.00 (twenty-four thousand one hundred and eighty hryvnias) 00 kopecks issued by the clinic.

The rehabilitation course lasted from March 4 to 15, 2024.

In the report on the course of treatment, Mom wrote: “Today we completed another course of treatment for Makar. The course included a medical examination, andropometry, video monitoring of motor functions, a special system of massage and spinal correction, paraffin applications, vibration therapy, facial massage, joint development, physical therapy, mechanotherapy, and sudoku. Very pleased with the course of treatment, Makar's muscle tone decreased, salivation decreased, his limbs became warmer and more mobile, he began to open his palms more often and make new sounds. We practiced with a positive attitude, performed all the exercises, Makar was attentive, contactable, friendly with others, behaved politely during classes and procedures. The doctors advise him to undergo the courses 3-4 times a year, as the treatment maintains his condition, allows for free movement, relieves spasticity and relaxes muscles. We were discharged with positive results. We express our deep gratitude to all the benefactors for their help in the course of treatment, it is an invaluable contribution to the development of our son, which brings us one step closer to the dream when Makar will stand on his own legs and run for joy, and we sincerely believe that this will happen one day thanks to his efforts and the help of sincere and caring people. We are very, very grateful to you”
