Maksym has been fighting for his health since birt

Maksym was born very quickly without complications, but he was not breathing. Doctors did everything possible to “start” his lungs. But three minutes without oxygen is a very long time for a child's brain. The parents could not even imagine how this would affect their boy's health.

Maksym grew up a restless and nervous child. He was preliminarily diagnosed with autism because he did not speak and made only certain sounds. But his parents didn't give up and found a center in Kryvyi Rih that worked with such children. “It was there that we realized that we were not alone and that there was help,” says Svitlana's mother. At this center, Maksym was diagnosed with astigmatism. Since then, he has been wearing glasses. His vision began to gradually improve, but later, due to stress and difficulties in the family, his vision began to deteriorate again.

Every six months, his parents had to buy new glasses, but due to financial difficulties, they were not of very high quality. Therefore, they often had to be replaced. “Now Maksym needs good glasses with protective lenses to help improve his vision. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to provide them,” says Svitlana. “Maksym has other health problems, but we believe that we will cope with all the difficulties.”
