Polina is a long-awaited child, the only one in the family. Pregnancy foreshadowed no surprises. The appearance of the baby was expected in early June of 2014. But ... in April, the war came to the city. Fear for herself, for the unborn child, for loved ones, for her home - mother was in constant stress. On the eve of the birth, mother got under fire. Strong fear led to the fact that the child began to rush in the stomach and entangled in the umbilical cord.

The girl was born prematurely. The labor was heavy, the baby was born without signs of life. After resuscitation, the child’s condition was extremely difficult. Polina was not breathing on her own, her heartbeat was very weak. Doctors did not give any guarantees that she will survive. The situation in the city was tense. Newborns with mothers were urgently evacuated to Kramatorsk. Polina was transported with a long motor. The baby began to breathe independently on the day of her supposed day of a healthy birth. And, on the same day, shelling began in Kramatorsk. Moms with children were urgently moved into the basement, conditions of which were far from sanitation, warmth and comfort. After waiting when the attacks would be over, the children were immediately taken away from the unsafe Kramatorsk.

So the little girl, not having begun to live yet, suffered pain, fear, danger, deprivation, and evacuation. Now Polina lives in her native Slavyansk. She is almost 5 years old, she is a charming blonde with a very difficult diagnosis – the memory of the war. At home, Polina constantly does exercise therapy, undergoes massages, is engaged in hippotherapy. But for complete rehabilitation of the child, it is necessary to bring her every 3-4 months to specialized clinics. Donors of Ukrainian Charity Market have already helped the girl to undergo treatment twice.

After the last course, Polina began to stand! And we believe that very soon the girl will be able to walk, and will live the life of a healthy child. Please help Polina to get to the next course of rehabilitation.
