A little miracle in a young family. 3

Mariika is a cheerful and funny girl, a ray of the sun that parents were looking forward to meeting. However, the happiest event in the life of a young family suddenly turned into a fight. Mariika saw the light only at the 24th week of pregnancy, and despite having low weight, and the disappointing predictions of doctors, she managed to defeat death. Mariika is unique – there are only five children like her in Ukraine. She is still small but was able to endure things we can not even imagine.

Mariika saw the light only at the 24th week of pregnancy, and despite having low weight, and the disappointing predictions of doctors, she managed to defeat death. Mariika is unique – there are only five children like her in Ukraine. She is still small but was able to endure things we can not even imagine.

Today, Mariika is already three years old and during her short life she has coped with a lot of challenges – rehabilitation courses and Rivne children's home, five courses at the Koziavkin Clinic for children with disabilities (town Truskavets) and continuous work at home. Despite the fact that doctors made a terrible diagnosis – development birth defect of the central nervous system and bilateral chronic sensorineural hearing loss – the parents nevertheless make every effort to enable Mariika to live a full-fledged life. Currently, doctors are observing the positive dynamics of Mariika’s development. She has already learned to hold her head, can sit for a few minutes without support, distinguish loved ones, and finally smile and focus on people and subjects around her. After such terrific results, the parents got the hope that it is possible for Mariika to recover.

Although the rehabilitation courses at the Koziavkin Clinic are extremely effective, they are also very expensive. The young family is not able to pay for such treatment, but in no case wants to stop at what has been achieved, because the rehabilitation requires stable and regular procedures in order not to lose already visible results. We have already raised money twice to help Mariika on the UBB pages. Her parents are extremely grateful to all who made a donation because the results are very revealing: they gave hope for recovery. Let's not let Veremchuk's family stop. Mariika has a chance for a happy future and it depends on us.
