Little fighters for life

Twin-brothers Davyd and Artem were prematurely born on the sixth month of their mother pregnancy, without having no innate reflexes that have to have new-born children. Doctors said that the children wouldn't be able to walk, speak, and hear, another told that the boys wouldn't live at all. However, God gave boys the life. Their mother obtained endless patience and unwavering faith. The boys have a cerebral palsy, aplasia of a right kidney (each of boys has only one kidney), speech disorder that progresses to an advanced stage, feet deformation. Little boys have to struggle with all these illnesses on everyday basis. Let's give boys a chance to live a full life.

Childhood for these boys is a fight. It seems that even adults are not able to overcome so many difficulties, but every day with the help of their mother the boys, feeling pain, learn to sit, to walk (even though they have problems with motor coordination due to feet deformity), and to talk. In order to fight against the disease, Artem and Davyd should continue their treatment. The boys are growing, and their weak muscles cannot bear age changes, that's why deformations occur. To make a small step to a full life, such deformations need to be eliminated. Artem was operated twice on bones. When the brother was in plaster, Davyd could not receive appropriate treatment. It is all about the lack of money. No one helps the family except the godparents of the boys. They don't have relatives as their mother is an orphan, and the father divorced his wife and left children with the mother.

The children should undergo treatment in International Clinic of Rehabilitation in Truskavets, as after the course of treatment in this clinic there is a positive dynamic and children's health improvement. 39 577 UAH are required for the treatment. However, all the family savings has been already spent on surgery for Artem. There is no money left. The family won't be able to cope with the illnesses without any financial support. Therefore, the desired improvements in fighting against the illness gained during the last 14 years may be lost. It is so sad to realise that the boys' health depends not on the their persistence, their mother's love and care, but on money.
